2010 Golden Globes Fashion Trends

  • Last night at the 2010 Golden Globes we saw some amazing dresses on some amazing women. Although not all outfits pleased us, I must say it was a pretty good turnout, and everyone looked beautiful. The recurring trend of the night was purple and ruffles. Here are some of my favorites…and some that didn’t really hit the note!

    Mariah Carey: Too Much Cleavage

Although Mariah Carey has a beautiful silhouette, I think her cleavage may have been a bit too much.

    Maggie Gyllenhaal: Stunning

I love this dress on Maggie Gyllenhaal because it really showcases her amazing body and the color is just right for her skin tone.

    Fergie: Too Much Bronzer

Fergie’s dress looks beautiful on her, but I think she may have used a little too much bronzer, because her skin looks unnaturally tanned.

    Chloe Sevigny: Too Many Ruffles?

I love Chloe Sevigny, but I thought this dress didn’t really work for her. There were way too many ruffles, and her hair and makeup were way too strict for this type of soft, delicate dress.

    Diane Kruger: Vintage

I’m not usually a big van of vintage gowns, but Diane Kruger looks breathtaking in this pink, ruffled, vintage gown. Also, nice touch on the hair and makeup; works great with the whole ensemble!

    Drew Barrymore: Perfect

I absolutely loved how Drew Barrymore looked in this Versace gown. The hair and makeup were also perfect, and worked very well with the soft, sheer-like gown.
