So how can you incorporate aloe vera into your beauty routine? The possibilities are endless. In fact, even Cleopatra was known to slather her body in the aloe gel, to give her skin a soft, glowing look.

Before we start, I'd like to let you know all know that I planted an aloe vera plant in my backyard (instead of buying the stuff in a bottle), and I can really tell the difference. The aloe vera gel you buy at the store is full of additives that you really don't want, so it's best to buy a little aloe vera plant and keep it in your house. They're cheap to buy and very easy to maintain, so it shouldn't be a problem.

5 Amazing Beauty Uses for Aloe Vera

1. Moisturizer

The secret to AMAZING all-over skin? Pure aloe vera gel. If you have a plant, cut it lengthwise (getting rid of the spikes part), and rub it all over your body. Try leaving it on for 20-30 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. If you don't have time for that, you can also rub it on while you're in the shower. Not only will it soothe the skin instantly, but will also leave it incredibly soft. Within your first few uses, you'll notice an increasing difference in the softness of your skin.

 2. Makeup Remover

Did you know you can use aloe vera as a makeup remover? Simply extract the gel from the plant using your hands and apply to your face and eyelids. Use a cotton ball to gently remove makeup. Not only is it 100% natural, but it works like nothing else, and will leave your skin feeling baby soft.

3. Prevent and Get Rid of Acne

One of aloe vera's most known uses is actually for acne. Because it has so many antibacterial properties, applying it directly to the affected area will diminish your pimples very quickly. It gets rid of any dirt and bacteria that may be harbouring around that area. Apply the aloe twice a day, morning and night, and watch the amazing results.

4. Scars

Whether they're acne scars, stretch marks, or whatever have you, aloe vera will take care of all of that. Just apply directly to the affected area and BOOM, you'll start seeing results within a few days. Remember to keep using it only a daily basis.

5. Hair Gel

All out of hair gel? Well if you're STILL using hair gel (hey, nothing wrong with that!), aloe vera is much better than the store bought stuff. Just put some gel in your palms and run through your hair. It'll make your hair soft, frizz-free, and of course, do the job that gel normally does.
