Must-Have Holiday Essentials

By Aniela / November 11, 2009

These must-have holiday essentials will get the festive season started right! The holidays are quickly approaching and your closet might need a little revamping. Whether you have holiday office parties, fancy New Year's Eve plans, or just planning to shop till you drop, these finds will keep you looking hot and warm all at the same time. So here are your must-have holiday essentials.

Booties

Booties

Booties, shoe boots, ankle boots, whatever you wanna call them, are HOT! They look great with anything from skirts, to tights, to skinny jeans. Pick up a pair of booties in a neutral color so you can wear them all throughout the season, or, if you've got a little bit of extra dough on the side, pick out a festive pair.

Draped Dresses

Silver draped dress

Drapped dresses are one of my favorite styles simply because they look good even if you're a little bloated that day. With that being said, make sure you pair up a draped dress with a pair of heels or knee-high boots.

Faux Fur Vest

Faux Fur Vest

Faux fur is back in this season, so why not warm up with a cute faux fur vest that you can throw over anything. What's great about these vests is that they can look either casual or dressy depending on what else you're wearing them with!

Dark Nail Polish

Blue Nail Polish

Stay away from the clich red hues this season, and opt for a more trendier color such as dark navy blue, black, midnight blue, etc. These colors are perfect for the holidays, plus you'll be making a statement!

Crystal Earrings

Crystal Earrings

There's nothing more festive than a pair of delicate drop-crystal earrings. Wear with with your hair up or down, they'll sparkle and shine all night!

Cardigan

Cardigan

The cardigan is the number one must-have this season and there really is no better way to keep warm during the cold, winter months. Just throw a cardigan over your holiday outfit and cinch it with a belt!

Ruffles

Ruffled Shoes

This holiday season, pick ruffled everything from ruffled shoes, to tops, to skirts. Just be sure to only wear one ruffled item at a time and keep the accessories to a minimum.

Sequins

Sequins

Sequins are a big part of the holiday festivities so show your spirit with a sequined scarf or hot. Just a little sequin goes a long way, so make sure you don't over do it.
