If you’re a big movie fan or even a big fashionista, then you’ve probably watched the Oscars last night. So, what did u think? A little boring? Of course, it’s the Oscars, not the music awards, so it can get a little boring! But that’s ok because at least we got to see some of the hottest fashions on the red carpet.

This year, I noticed a lot of simplicity and elegance. No one really took a chance, and maybe they should have! A lot of straight a-line dresses, off the shoulder, and safe colors. I think because the event was so highly anticipated, celebs felt a lot of pressure to look a certain way.

One of my favorite dresses from the Red Carpet would have to be Marion Cottilard, from “La Vie en Rose”, who of course won an oscar for best leading actress. The dress she is wearing is absolutely superb, and I’m quite excited to say that I haven’t seen anything like it in a really long time! The detailing on it is exquisite as well as the color. Very appropriate for such an event.

Heidi Klum’s dress got a lot of attention since it is being auctioned off! I thought this dress was stunning- maybe a little too cruela devil, but still stunning nonetheless. What can I say…it made her look like a queen!

So we can see that red was a very popular color on the Red Carpet. Anne Hathaway made her entrance in a red gown. A little flower detail on the top part made her look like a Greek Goddess. I think this dress is amazing…I just can’t bring myself to accept those flowers!

Renee Zellweger lit up the Red Carpet with this sparkly strapless gown. I think it really suited her, but it might have been a tad too much. Her body looks great tho, and the shoes are really hot too. All in all, not a bad choice…maybe just too much silver?

And last but not least, my favorite dress of the night….Cameron Diaz’s! Why, you ask? Well simply because she wore the dress so well! I love the color, the length, and also the rouching at the top. I think it suits her beautifully, and also think that this is her best choice in a long time!
