What to Wear With Gray
One of the hardest colors to pull off is gray. Here’s why: it’s a very dull, lifeless pigment and it’s a little complicated to match it with another color. Although gray is a dull color, there are always ways to get around it and make it stand out in a good way. Gray can be easily worn when paired with the right colors, and in the right circumstances.
Not only is gray hard to combine with other colors, but it’s hard to match it up with your skin tone as well. A pasty complexion might not make it with this color if worn on the top. Instead, try wearing lighter, matte grays which will not clash with your complexion.
To start off, keep in mind that gray is a combination of black and white colors, therefore those are the top two colors that can be mixed with gray. Silver is also a good combination, which is a derivative of gray. Another thing you could combine gray with are jeans of course. Jeans go with anything, but just make sure it’s a lighter, not-so-pronounced gray.
To make gray items come out, add some accessories, like a red belt over a gray miniskirt and a long white top. Either way, gray looks better worn in little amount, or in a professional setting.

It’s funny. I’m loving gray now, but when my hair was dark brown, almost black, I thought it was the most boring color in the world.
Pewter, or a nice flat, almost lavender gray of a deep to medium value, has long been a favorite, but hard to find. Here’s hoping we see more of that this gray cycle.

Yeah that’s true…gray does look better on lighter hair, but I’m not too much into the dark grays. Like you said, the lavender gray is actually very complimenting.

I love wearing either bright or pale yellows with gray. Certain pinks also go well with gray. It may be a flat, dead color, but it can be made very stylish with colors that pop.
