Get Shiny Hair

We all want the same thing-long, beautiful shiny hair. Although I can’t help you with the long part, here are some easy tips to getting beautiful, shiny hair.

The first thing to remember is that your hair is not designed to take all the stress that it takes- dyes, perms, curling irons, straighteners, products, etc. All of these things leave your hair dry, dull and very unhealthy.

Get your hair back by starting a weekly treatment. I like VO5 Hot Oil Treatment. Use it once a week for about a month, and you’ll see amazing results. It will leave your hair feeling very soft, and will give you back the natural shine you once had.

To get shiny hair on the spot, wash your hair with a hydrating or moisturizing shampoo. Use a deep conditioner and leave in for about 5-10 minutes. Rinse out with luke-warm water and towel dry. When towel-drying your hair, make sure you don’t rub it too hard or vigorously as it can pull the strands out.

Apply an anti-frizz or a shine serum to wet strands. Brush through with a wide tooth comb. Blow dry your hair using the lowest heat setting and make sure you don’t hold it too close to your hair.

Using a large round brush, take a wide section of hair and brush it through all the way down going slowly. Make sure you keep the blow drier on the section you’re brushing to get a soft, straight finish.

When the hair is dry, brush out the fly-aways or mist an aerosol hairspray.

   Hi Anna
   Well I believe they should have double headbands at accessories stores such as Claire’s or Ardene’s. If not, try searching online, but those stores should carry them.
