How to Crimp Your Hair

Posted on June 20th, 2007 in Hair How-Tos by Aniela

Follow these simple steps on how to crimp your hair and you’ll get a completely new and refreshing hair style. You can crimp sections of your hair, or you can do your whole head. It’s easy, and it gives your hair a new look in no time.

Start by washing your hair with a mild shampoo and conditioner. Try rinsing your hair with cold water as to not damage and dry your hair. Towel dry your hair when you’re finished and use a wide-tooth comb to untangle your hair.

Spray a heat protection spray on your hair to avoid damage from the blow dryer as well as from the crimping iron. Blow dry your hair using the coolest setting and drying it in sections.

When you’re finished, start by using the crimping iron to crimp each section of hair. Make sure you don’t leave it in your hair for too long as it can be very damaging to your hair. Continue with each section until your whole head of hair is crimped. crimped-hair.jpg
