I deeply apologize if this article has offended you. In no way was I trying to be racist or anything like that. I was honestly just referring to my type of hair (I am white), which is very thin and brittle and so if I don’t wash it daily, it looks messy. I realize now that I misused the word, and again, I apologize to you and everyone else, it was an honest mistake!

I’m sorry, but I’m really offended by the way this article was written. Some of the tips are helpful but when you equate “nappy” (kinky) hair with being “messy” and “unprofessional”, that is an insult. It almost sounds racist.
