Get Healthy Hair

Posted on February 20th, 2007 in Hair How-Tos by Aniela

Think about the damage your hair has gone through this past year. At least for most of us, it’s been through hell; blow-drying, straightening, perms, coloring, etc…the list goes on and on. Every product we use on our hair also has damaging effects, and therefore leaves the hair dry, weak and brittle.

The best way to get your hair back on track to its natural, healthy form is to start from the beginning. Follow this routine religiously for about a month, and I guarantee your hair will be back to its natural shine, and it will be as healthy as ever.

Ten Minute Volume and Waves

Posted on February 13th, 2007 in Hair How-Tos by Aniela

Think you don’t have time for sexy, luscious locks? Think again. Even with thick hair you can get a full head of beautiful curls, and unbelievable volume.

Try these steps to get beautiful, hourglass waves that take only ten minutes to sculpt.

Gather about 3 inches of dry hair, and roll them around the barrel of a skinny curling iron (an inch wide or less). This effect creates sexy hourglass waves, and because you’re not grabbing large bits of hair at a time, you can do your whole
head in just ten minutes!

Sleek, Shiny Hair

Posted on February 13th, 2007 in Hair How-Tos by Aniela

The secret to getting super shiny, super sleek hair is very simply and to the point. If you follow these guidelines carefully, you’ll be able to have beautiful shiny hair in no time.

After washing your hair, spritz on a shine serum all over your hair. Brush through with a comb. Start off by giving yourself some volume by blow-drying your hair upside down for about a minute or 2. Make sure you don’t dry your entire head!

Swirly Curls

Posted on February 8th, 2007 in Hair How-Tos by Aniela

This year, curls
are making a huge
comeback so be
sure you’re
prepared for what’s up
ahead!

You don’t need
to get a perm, or
go to a salon to get
beautiful, swirly
curls.

And by swirly curls, i mean
L.A style, laid back curls.
They’re loose and
flowy tendrils that frame
your face, and they’re
extremely easy to pull off!

S
tart off by creating a center
part in your hair. Grab a 2-inch
section of hair on either
side and wrap it around your
index finger as if making
spirals. Make sure you have a
bobby pin or a clip ready, so that
when you pull your finger out
from your hair, you can
secure it tightly.

Pouf Up Your Hair

Posted on February 8th, 2007 in Hair How-Tos by Aniela

Every girl needs a
litle volume in her
hair. Weather you
add some hairspray,
a little gel or mousse,
you always need to get
that extra volume.

Why, you ask? Limp
hair doesn’t look good
on anyone. It hangs around
the face, throwing
everything off balance.

A little volume does
good to your facial
features, not to mention
you’ll have fab hair.

A great volumising tip
is a pretty pouf. To get
this look, tease the top
quarter of your hair
with a stiff toothbrush
(make sure it’s unused!).
The bristles on the
toothbrush are perfect
for teasing your hair.

Bold Colors

Out with the old
and in with the new!
All over streaks and
highlights are so yesterday!
Now the monochromatic look
is back in style and sexier
than ever.

Blondes can amp up
their dos by brightening
their base and blending
in any existing highlights.
For extra shine, do a
monthly gloss treatment.

For brunettes, go
two tones darker than
your roots. A deep
chocolate colour
or a coffee shade
will make your do
super shiny and
very intense.
