What’s Your Hair Type?
Whenever you go to a beauty supply store and try to buy shampoo, conditioner or any other hair product, you have endless possibilities. Products for curly hair, coarse hair, normal hair, oily hair, dry hair, any type of hair you can think of! Of course, this makes your job a little harder because you have so much to choose from! So let me help you out a little bit and show you how you can find out what your hair type is.
Start off with a tissue paper to test your hair type. Make sure you wash your hair the day before. Take the tissue paper and press it on the center of the head and behind the ears. If, after you do this, you find oil on the tissue paper, it means you have oily hair. If you do not, it means your hair is dry.
For the most part, hair types go with skin types. If you have dry skin, your hair will most likely be dry. If you have oily skin, then your hair will be oily as well.
Combination hair means that you have both dry and oily parts. The oily part is usually the top (your roots) and the dry parts are your ends.
