i tried it and it worked great.. maybe you just applied too much. plus i think it’s not really that important if you put oil everywhere, just the scalp.. After all, it only says to ‘Just massage it gently onto your scalp, rinse out, and shampoo as you normally would.’

Don’t do this the night before a big event and especially not the day of. Olive oil does not wash out of your hair quickly, i had to rinse it out with shampoo at least 4 times before it even started to feel some what cleans.
