Eyelash curlers are simply the best– if you know how to use them! Not only that, but they’re cheap and pretty easy to use. Once you get over the weird look of the curler, it’s a piece of cake!
Step 1
Open the curler and position it directly over your open eye while looking down. Once the upper lashes are in place, close the curler and hold it carefully in place for about 5 seconds.
Step 2
Gently open the curler and remove from the eye area. Repeat the procedure to the other eye. For an even more dramatic look, curl your lashes twice.
Step 3
Apply mascara, working on the upper lids and from the outer to the inner corner of each eye. Color the bottom lashes slightly if under-eye darkness is not a problem.
Step 4
Focus on keeping your eyelashes separated. In most cases, you’ll need 1 to 3 coats to achieve the thickness you need. Let each coat dry before applying the next to avoid clumps. And voila, you have beautiful eyelashes!

This is really true. Curling your eyelashes really make your eye stand out. I don’t know if this is only me, but I can’t seem to keep my curls when I curl my eyelashes followed by mascara. If I apply mascara first, then curl my eyelashes, then I can achieve the curls I want.
Well I’ve personally never had any problems with curling my lashes, but if you feel that they don’t curl, try investing in a better eyelash curler. If you’re using a plastic curler, switch to metal. If that doesn’t work, try using your blow-dryer to heat up your eyelash curler for a few seconds. Then try again, you’ll see a huge difference!
