Although not many people really have the time to actually make their own lipstick, you can still do other things to get the most out of your money and out of your products. Makeup can be expensive at times, and preserving your makeup and knowing how to maximize its uses is a very important thing.

You can easily create a custom shade of lipstick simply by mixing different colored lipsticks together. It’s easy, it’s fast, and it doesn’t cost you anything. All you have to do is find a couple of sticks of lipsticks (whatever colors you want to mix), scoop it out, and blend it together. For an added shine you can also mix with lipgloss or a little bit of Vaseline.

For best results, use a lip brush to mix as well as apply the blended lipsticks. So next time you think of getting rid of your old lipstick tubes, save them and make your own unique concoction.
