Makeup Tips for Deep-Set Eyes
-
It’s hard at times to make your small, or deep-set eyes appear larger, but with these simple tips you’ll be able to do it in no time at all. Start off by applying an eye cream all around the eye area. This will smooth and plump up the skin around the area. To even out the skin tone around the eye area, apply a little foundation.
A lot of people’s eye areas are actually darker than their skin tone, which casts a shadow making deep-set eyes look smaller. Apply a light colored eye shadow to your lids (all the way up to the brow bone). Use a color such as a peach, taupe, or bone because light colors make your eyes appear larger, while dark colors recede them.
Apply a medium-toned shadow along the crease of your eye. Again, stay away from dark colors, pick something like a medium gray or brown. Pick a brown or charcoal eye pencil and line it closely against the lash lines. Avoid black eye liner because it will make your eyes look smaller. Curl your lashes with an eye lash curler and apply two coats of black or dark brown mascara.
