Stay Put Shadow Tricks

Posted on March 2nd, 2007 in Makeup by Aniela

We all know how extremely annoying it is when we got those shadow creases or when come night time, your shadow is barely there! Here are some simple stay put shadow tricks that you can do yourself!

The cause for your eyeliner and eyeshadow pulling a disappearing act is excess oil. If you have an oily complexion, it is much easier for all of your makeup to slowly disappear. Fortunately, there is a way.

Start off by applying an oil free foundation over your lids. If you have oily skin, then make sure that you always wear an oil free foundation. Once the foundation dries, pat a tissue over your lids to soak up any excess residue.

Continue the process by applying a cream shadow over your lid and letting it sit for about a minute so it can fully dry. After it’s fully dried, apply a same color powder shadow over your lid.

The cream shadow works fabulously with oily skin because it’s absorbed into the skin, and the powder soaks up any additional oil. As for eyeliner, try using liquid eyeliner as it lasts much longer than pencil ones.
