Make Your Own Makeup Remover Pads: A Step by Step DIY

By Aniela / May 20, 2015

Today we'll show you how to make your own makeup remover pads! Makeup remover pads are actually a lot easier to make than you'd think. Especially if you have a toddler around, you probably already have all of these ingredients. And what's even better, is that these makeup remover pads also make a great, cheap gift! Throw them in a basket with a home made body scrub and you're good to go!

You'll need:

  • A mason jar or a round container
  • Large, round cotton pads
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp tear-free baby shampoo
  • 1/4 tsp baby oil
  • A few drops of essential oil (optional)

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine the water, shampoo, baby oil, and essential oil. Add 10 pads to the bowl and allow them a few minutes to soak up the solution. Remove those pads and carefully place them in your jar. Add 10 more pads to your bowl and allow those to soak up the solution as well. Place them in your jar with the other pads and seal.

If you're gifting this, put a cute little label on and tie a nice ribbon around the lid. Or, use them yourself just like you would any other makeup remover pads.
