#1. Lavender Oil

One of the most popular essential oils in the world, lavender oil has many properties including encouraging hair growth. Research has shown that lavender oil can generate the growth of cells and reduce stress. It also has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties which can improve the health of the scalp.

Use lavender essential oil for hair growth by mixing 3-4 drops with 3 tbsp of your favorite carrier oil such as olive oil or coconut oil. Apply directly to the scalp and leave on for at least 10 minutes. Wash out and repeat 2-3 times a week.

#2. Rosemary Oil

Rosemary oil has help thicken hair as well as encourage fast, healthy growth, due to its ability to improve cellular regeneration.

Do this by mixing 3-4 drops with 3 tbsp of your favorite carrier oil such as olive oil or coconut oil. Apply directly to the scalp and leave on for at least 10 minutes. Wash out and repeat 2-3 times a week.

Because thyme is a particularly strong essential oil, mix only 2 drops of it with 2 tbsp of your favorite carrier oil such as olive or coconut and massage into the scalp. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse out.

Mix about 10 drops of tea tree essential oil into your shampoo or conditioner and use daily. Alternatively, you can also mix 2 drops with 2 tbsp of your favorite carrier oil and massage into the scalp. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse out.

Mix 5 drops of ylang-ylang oil with 2 tbsp of warm oil (olive or coconut). Massage into the scalp, and wrap the hair with a warm towel. Leave on for about 30 minutes and wash out!

Mix 2 drops of horsetail plant oil with 2 tbsp of your favorite carrier oil. Massage into scalp and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse out.

Mix 2 drops of peppermint essential oil with 2 tbsp of your favorite carrier oil. Massage into scalp and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse out.

Mix 3 drops of clary sage oil with your favorite conditioner OR with 1 tbsp of your favorite carrier oil. If using it with your conditioner, use daily and leave on for 2 minutes. If using as a hair mask, massage into scalp and leave on for 10 minutes.
