For anyone that knows me or reads my blog, they know I'm a die-hard DIYer, especially when it comes to beauty. DIY masks, DIY hair products, and everything else under the sun! And why shouldn't I be? Instead of spending my hard earned cash on on unnecessarily expensive products that are laden with all kinds of chemicals and stuff I can't even pronounce, I'd rather make my own stuff where I know what the ingredients are and I won't be spending more than a couple of bucks! So here are my all-time favorite 4 skin-saving masks you can make at home. The beauty of this? You most likely already have ALL of this stuff in your fridge or pantry!

5 Face Masks You Can Make at Home

#1. Cucumber Mask For Softer Skin

If you suffer from dull, lack-luster skin, then this is your skin-saving mask! The cucumber de-puffs your skin and reduces redness, the honey cleanses and gets rid of bacteria, and the milk soothes and brightens the skin.

The Drill:

1/2 cucumber pureed in a food processor

1/4 cup milk

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon brown sugar

Mix all ingredients together and apply to a cleansed face. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse with luke-warm water. Pat dry and follow up with your favorite moisturizer!

#2. Yogurt Mask For Sensitive Skin

For those with sensitive skin, yogurt is extremely soothing and contains probiotics. The flavonol is cocoa calms irritation, while honey gently. tightens the skin .

The Drill:

one tablespoon yogurt

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon cocoa powder

Mix all ingredients

Mix all ingredients together and apply to a cleansed face. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse with luke-warm water. Pat dry and follow up with your favorite moisturizer!

 

#3. Oatmeal Mask For Oily Skinoatmeal for oily skin

Oily skin girls (like moi!) will love this oatmeal face mask! The lemon juice works to get rid of oil and dead skin cells, while the oatmeal acts as a soother, and the egg tightens skin and shrinks pores.

The Drill:

1/2 cup cooked oatmeal (cooled)

1 egg

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Mix all ingredients together and apply to a cleansed face. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse with luke-warm water. Pat dry and follow up with your favorite moisturizer!

 

#4. Anti-Acne Mask

This anti-acne mask is everything you've been looking for! The butternut squash is a huge helper in producing collagen, tea tree oil will fight the infection, and honey will brighten the skin. Apply once a week.

The Drill:

1 butternut squash pureed in a food processor

1 tablespoon honey

2 drops tea tree oil

Mix all ingredients together and apply to a cleansed face. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse with luke-warm water. Pat dry and follow up with your favorite moisturizer!

 

#5. Avocado Mask for Dry Skin

The omega fatty acids in avocado and olive oil give dry skin a much needed punch of moisture, while the honey and yogurt will fight bacteria and brighten and plump the skin!

The Drill:

1 avocado, mashed

2 tablespoons yogurt

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon honey

Mix all ingredients together and apply to a cleansed face. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse with luke-warm water. Pat dry.
