This DIY mimosa sugar scrub is super simple to make and smells absolutely delicious! If you enjoy drinking a mimosa, you'll definitely love this mimosa sugar scrub. Perfect to make for yourself or to give away as a gift!
Homemade Mimosa Sugar Scrub
This recipe will make about a jar's worth, but you can play around with the portions and make as much or as little as you like!
You'll Need:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup grape seed oil or any other light oil
- juice of 1/2 large navel orange
- zest of 1 orange
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and spoon out into a clean jar or container.
- If this is a gift, wrap a ribbon around a pretty mason jar and make your own “Mimosa Sugar Scrub” label 🙂
***Because this recipe contains sugar, make sure it is refrigerated and used within a week otherwise microbes can grow! If you'd like to keep it for longer, make sure you add a preservative!***
Use the mimosa sugar scrub all year round for an amazing orange-y smell. Rub in slow, circular motions over wet skin and rinse off. Use 2-3 times a week to slough off dead skin cells.

This sounds amazing! But is there a substitute I can use if I want to make it last longer or give it as a gift? and if not, what preservative do you recommend? Thank you.
Hi Rona,
If you’d like to give this away as a gift, or have it last longer, the only thing we would suggest doing is removing the orange zest and orange juice and substituting with a few drops of orange essential oil! The orange juice may go bad, but sugar and oils will keep for months without any added preservatives 🙂
