Hair Growth Recipes
#1. Egg Yolk & Olive Oil Hair Mask
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup water
Mix the egg yolks with the olive oil and dilute with 1 cup of water. Massage the mixture throughout your hair and leave on for 15-20 minutes. The proteins in the egg will seal in moisture and encourage fast hair growth. Olive oil hydrates dry, damaged hair.
#2. Banana Hair Mask
- 1 ripe banana
Mash a ripe banana using a food processor or a blender until it becomes a smooth paste. Apply all throughout your hair and cover with a shower cap. Set the mask by using a blow dryer and then leave on for 20 minutes. Bananas are packed full of protein and carbohydrates that will penetrate the hair follicles and make hair grow faster.
#3. Coconut Oil and Avocado
- Coconut oil
- Half a ripe avocado
Heat up some coconut oil and massage gently into your scalp, making sure to cover entire head. Then, mash up half a ripe avocado and apply only to the ends. Cover with a shower cap and leave on for 30 minutes. Coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft really deeply to hydrate and fix damaged hair, while avocado moisturizes and seals in split ends.
#4. Onion Juice and Honey
- 1-2 tbsp honey
- Onion Juice
Juice an onion and mix the juice with honey. Apply all over hair, concentrating on ends and leave on overnight. Onion juice is known for its hair growth properties while honey is anti-septic and will treat any scalp conditions that may prevent hair growth.
Dampen your hair and apply mayonnaise to entire head massaging in slow, circular motions. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse out. Mayonnaise is the perfect hair mask because it contains oil and egg yolks so it’s basically a ready-to-go hair mask that you just have to put on!
