By Aniela / October 3, 2018

If you’re sick of dull nails and those that ‘just will not grow’ because of breakage and thinness, this at home nail serum will definitely fix your problem. We’ve found an effective concoction that's made from all natural items that are commonly found in your kitchens! Finally, something simple that actually works.

You will be using 4 different ingredients, these four consisting of Olive oil, Lemon Juice, Honey & Sea Salt. While the Olive oil provides a fantastic source of Vitamin E, which is a key part in healthy skin and hair, the Lemon Juice and its high acidity remove the yellowness (You can use it to whiten your teeth too), the Honey moisturizes and the Sea Salt Exfoliates.

You'll Need:

  • Olive Oil¼  Cup
  • Lemon Juice– 1 Tablespoon
  • Honey- 1 Tablespoon
  • Sea Salt– 2 Teaspoons
  • Small Ceramic bowl and wooden spoon

How to do it:

Get all the ingredients and mix them up in the ceramic bowl.

Get a small pan and put it over the stove with a bit of water in it.

Heat up the bowl with the ingredients over the pan. Set it down and stir until it’s a comfortably warm temperature.

Soak your hands for about 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, relax and unwind a little!

After the timer stops ticking, wash your hands with warm water and some soap and scrub them with a nail brush until they are refined and smooth.

For best results you may want to do it once or twice a week, depending on how much you really need it.

If you would like to have some fun and add a couple of ingredients, you can try these for extra strength and health:

Castor Oil- SUPER Repairer in brittle cracked nails and torn cuticles.

Lavender or Peppermint Oil– Rich in moisture which helps nails grow longer quicker.

Coconut Oil– Rich in amino acids which helps the nails and skin repair itself. (Also an anti-fungal treatment because of its anti-bacterial characteristics.)

Apple Cider Vinegar (Will hurt if you have any cuts or nubs on your fingers so use with caution)
