4 DIY Face Masks for Stubborn Acne – Recipes
#1. Avocado Face Mask for Sensitive/Dry Skin
For those with super dry, sensitive skin, we recommend this super easy avocado face mask. Not only will it prevent acne from forming, but it will obliterate existing acne as long as you apply it 2-3 times a week!
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 mashed avocado
Depending on the size of your avocado, you may need more or less, but you're just trying to achieve a paste-like consistency. Mix all ingredients together and apply to face and neck. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse. Repeat 2-3 times a week.
#2. Potato Face Mask for Oily Skin
Those with oily skin will benefit from this super potato face mask as it contains lemon juice and potatoes which regulate the production of oil, leaving skin smooth, clean, and oil free!
- juice of half a potato
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp milk powder
Juice half a potato using a juicer and mix in lemon juice and milk powder. Milk powder is great for cleansing and bringing impurities to the surface. Mix all ingredients together and apply to face and neck. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse. Repeat 2-3 times a week.
#3. Egg White Face Mask for Aging Skin
This anti-aging egg white face mask is great for not only eradicating acne, but also preventing and erasing wrinkles and fine lines.
- 2-3 egg whites
Beat some egg whites and apply directly to face and neck. Leave on for 15-20 minutes or until you feel to the mask starting to tighten. Remove with a warm washcloth. Repeat 2-3 times a week.
#4. Lemon & Green Tea Face Mask for All Skin Types
- 1/4 cup green tea
- juice from half a lemon
- 1 egg white
- 2.5 tsp plain gelatin
Add the gelatin to a bowl and pour in warm green tea. Quickly stir to dissolve all of the gelatin and add in the lemon juice and egg white. Stir again and apply all over face and neck. Wait 15-20 minutes or until mask has dried and peel off slowly. Wash off any remaining mask. Repeat 2-3 times a week.
