A Celebrity Facialist Shares Her Secret For Acne Prone Skin

By Aniela / June 9, 2015

Sonya Dakar, a facialist to the stars, shares her secret for acne prone skin. We all know that the beauty industry is high on oil washing right now, but Sonya was doing it way before anyone else: 20 years ago to be exact.

She said it all started one winter day whilst walking outside. Her sensitive, acne prone skin, was getting whipped left and right by the wind and she could feel her skin cracking and breaking out. She ran into a restaurant that had a salad bar, poured some olive oil into her hands and slathered it onto her face. As you can imagine, she was getting some very strange looks. But now, 20 years later, Sonya STILL uses oil to cleanse her face and she is now blemish free.

Here, she shares her ultimate secret to getting rid of acne once and for all.

Clarifying Face Mask Recipe

clarifying face mask ingredients

Sonya swears by this clarifying face mask that not only prevents and gets rid of acne, but also tightens, brightens, and de-wrinkles skin. She uses it once a week and so should you!

Directions:

In a small bowl, combine the two oils. Next, break apart the capsules and mix those in, stirring well. Apply the mask to your face and neck and let sit for about 10 minutes. When your 10 minutes are up, gently massage with your fingertips to get your circulation going, and then wipe off with a warm, clean cloth.

Benefits:

The benefits of this mask are aplenty. The grape seed oil is a great antioxidant as well as it contains many anti-ageing properties. The probiotics ensure that you're giving your skin the nutrients it needs, all the while detoxifying it. And of course the lavender has a soothing, calming effect on your skin that you'll absolutely love!
