If you're a beauty maven, you probably already know the amazing benefits that cucumbers can have on your skin – especially when it comes to dark circles. Cucumbers contain enzymes and bleaching properties that lighten and tighten the skin. This recipe is super easy to make and you can apply it every day. Here is how to use cucumber juice for dark circles.
Cucumber Juice for Dark Circles Recipe
There are three ways you can use cucumber for dark circles:
- The most obvious and common way is to simply slice cucumbers and place them over your eyes. Lay back and relax for 20 minutes while the cucumber does it work. Although this is the most common way, I find it annoying as I'm always on the go, and laying down with my eyes closed for 20 minutes will most likely result in a nap.
- The second way is to throw half a cucumber in a blender. The consistency will be a watery paste. Using clean fingers, apply the mask to your skin (especially around the eyes), but make sure to wrap a towel around your neck as it can drip. Lay back and read a book or watch some Netflix for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
- The third way (and my favorite) is to use a juicer. One cucumber will yield a LOT of juice, but just throw a whole one into your juicer anyway, and whatever you don't use – drink up! After you've juiced your cucumber, pour some into a small bowl and use a cotton ball to apply the juice to your skin, concentrating around the eyes. This is the best way because you can still walk around and do your thing, without any dripping, plus you're applying the juice directly to your skin which is much more effective.
