Ginger is a staple in many culinary worlds, but it seems like in North America…not so much. Not only does ginger pack amazing flavor to any dish, but it also has some of the most amazing beauty properties of any vegetable! Packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, ginger can make your skin look youthful in a pinch!
Why Use Ginger For Youthful Skin
In addition to adding ginger to your diet, whether it's in soups, teas, or any other dishes, we strongly recommend using ginger for your regular beauty routine and here's why:
Ginger is rich in calcium , iron , magnesium , manganese , potassium protein carbohydrates, fiber, selenium, sodium, vitamins (C, E, B6). Because of this, it has amazing anti-aging properties. It also removes impurities, balances skin, and evens skin tone. So if you're suffering from wrinkles, fine lines, uneven skin tone, scars, or dark spots…ginger is your friend!
How do I use ginger on my skin?
- Start by slicing your ginger (very carefully so you don't cut yourself!)
- Then, rub the sliced ginger all over your face and neck, making sure not to rub too hard.
- Do this until entire face is covered and wait 20-30 minutes.
- Rinse off, pat dry, and follow up with a moisturizer.
How often do I need to do this?
We recommend doing this 2-3 times a week. Because ginger is very powerful, we wouldn't recommend you doing anymore than that. But, within just a few weeks, you'll start noticing less fine lines, your skin will tighten, discoloration will start to go away, and your skin will look youthful and radiant!
