Ever wonder how models get their flawless, smooth skin? Turns out they have a morning routine all of their own, and although it takes some time, it obviously works! This morning routine may not work for everyone, as it is a little time consuming, BUT if you DO have some time, I definitely recommend doing this every morning! Takes care of dull skin, acne prone skin, wrinkles, dark spots and scars, and leaves it super smooth and bright!
Follow a model's morning skin care routine (below) in the order shown for beautiful, flawless skin!
#1. Tea Before Bed
Before bed, most models drink a cup of detox tea. You don't necessarily have to go with the detox tea though – green tea is just as powerful! Drinking tea before bed will get rid of all the toxins in your body and skin and will also pump it with antioxidants.
#2. Lemon Water In the Morning
Lemon water is proven to speed up metabolism and also get rid of toxins, making your skin look beautiful from the inside out. Every morning when you wake up drink a glass of lemon water on an empty stomach. Make sure you don't eat/drink anything before your lemon water!
The icing method is a very popular one because it reduces redness, blemishes, as well as dark circles. Simply rub 3-4 ice cubes (wrapped in a thin cloth) over your entire face, concentrating on problem areas as well as under the eyes.
#4. Warm Oil + Honey
Mix 1 tsp warm oil (such as coconut oil) and 1 tsp honey and wash your face with the mixture. Click here to learn more about oil cleansing. This method gets deep into pores, giving your skin a maximum clean, as well as reducing oiliness and getting rid of/preventing breakouts.
#5. Rose Water
After you've cleansed with the oil and honey, whip up a batch of rosewater and use it as a toner. Rose water has amazing skin properties and is also anti-aging. Did I mention that your skin will smell like a rose too?
