These overnight pimple treatments are designed to work super fast (overnight mostly), so that you can wake up with one less blemish in the morning! So next time you have a little pesky friend, try one of these treatments and see which works best for you!

Overnight Pimple Treatments

#1. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is antibacterial and antimicrobial and will therefore shrink a pimple pretty damn fast! Aside from that, it also contains anti-inflammatory and healing properties. In a recent study, it was found that a gel containing 5% tea tree oil was proven JUST as effective at reducing pimples as a lotion containing 5% benzoyl peroxide, a common acne medication.

To use, combined one part tea tree oil with nine parts water. Mix the two together and apply with a cotton ball. Let sit overnight.

#2. Ibuprofen

Ibuprofen is a common medication that's used for a number of things including headaches, migraines, inflammation, and other ailments, but did you know it also has another use? You guessed it! Ibuprofen can actually be applied topically onto a pimple to help dramatically reduce its size by morning!

Simply crush up an ibuprofen pill and mix with a little bit of water until a paste forms. Apply directly onto the pimple and let sit overnight. Wash off the next morning.

#3. Garlic

Believe it or not, garlic is not only used in cooking – it can also help with acne! Because garlic contains antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, it will fight off bacteria and reduce swelling.

Depending on the size of your pimple there are two ways you can use it:

  1. For a smaller pimple, slice a garlic clove in two. Rub the open side directly onto the pimple and leave on overnight.
  2. For a bigger pimple, apply a slice of garlic onto the pimple and place a small piece of tape over it. Leave that there overnight so that the garlic can literally suck up all of the bacteria!

#4. Toothpaste

Most of us are very familiar with toothpaste acting as an overnight spot treatment, but do you know why it works? It basically disinfects and helps dry up the pimple! Before applying toothpaste though, be sure that it's not a gel type or that it doesn't contain whitening properties – they can actually do more harm than good!

As with everything, some of these overnight pimple treatments may work for you, or they may not! Try each one of them and see which one works for you!
