Summer Hair Colors

  • In the past we’ve seen many different shades come and go; Light brown with highlights, dark with highlights, and all kinds of mixtures. This season though, hair colors will give off a more natural and simple look. Pronounced fake colors are out, and natural colors are in!

Natural colors mean colors that looks natural on your skin type, and that isn’t fake or dramatic. It goes well with your skin tone, doesn’t clash with your eyebrows, and simply looks natural on you!

Highlights aren’t as popular anymore because they don’t look real. Instead, try opting for highlights that are a shade lighter than your hair color, and spread them underneath the layers to create a soft, natural look. This will give your hair some volume, as well as giving you real looking highlights.hair color

Also in this season is matte hair color; only one color instead of 2 or 3 colors mixed up. A rich chocolate color, or a deep brown and hazel color are the it trends this season. But make sure these colors match your skin tone before trying anything.

I have blonde hair and aqua eyes. I want to go like a light brunette color but not sure what color would look good.

  3. I think a light brunette color would look good for someone with naturally blonde hair – give it a try! And it doesn’t really matter what color your eyes are, as long as your skin tone matches with the color of the hair. If your skin tone is fair, go with something lighter. If it’s darker, anything will go (except for bleach blonde of course!)

Hi, i have naturally dark hair but always dye it a light blonde. I really want a change. My skin is an olive colour and i have really dark eyes. I want to go a reddy brown colour but quite vibrant. what do you think, any sugestions? Thankyou

  12. Hi Christina,

Well if you’ve been blonde for a while, why not go back to your original hair color? I always think that looks best! But your best bet would be to go to a professional salon and ask. Before you do that though, why not browse some hair colors and see what you like? For your skintone, I would suggest going a little darker, and you can always get red lowlights, that would look really pretty! Hope this helps!
