It’s the year of the crazy nail polish colors, and we’re starting to see more and more wild colors on every single nail from black, to midnight black, and bright neon colors. So how do you choose which shade to sport?
Well first, assess your situation. Are you a 9-5 girl working in an office setting? If so, you may want to stay away from really dark colors such as the popular black shades, as well as wild hues like bright green, blue, orange, or yellow. Instead, opt for a hot neon pink or a sparkly white…after all, you still have to look somewhat professional. Needless to say, once the weekend hits, please, do go crazy and wear an unconventional color!
But if you’re not in the work-field yet, feel free to go as crazy as you want with your nail polish. Right now, neon colored nail polishes are really popular and I especially love yellow (but mostly on the toes). Also, make sure you stock up on a hot sparkly black nail polish or midnight black for those going out nights. The only downside of dark polishes is that they’re hard to keep up with and they make your short nails look even shorter. And we all know that the trick to longer-looking nails is soft, light colors.
Either way, I still think you should try out some of the more unusual colors just to give your overall appearance a pop! Try OPI’s Black Cherry Chutney polish, one of my favorites since it doesn’t chip as fast as the other brands and the color has a really nice sheen to it.
