First off, look for skin and makeup products that are not just oil-free, but non-comedogenic as well. This will ensure that your pores won't get clogged.

If you find that your oily skin makes you break out, make sure you use the right products. Even if your face wash if oil-free, that may not be enough. Use a 2% salicylic-acid spot treatment, which is a lot better than benzoyl peroxide since it won't dry out your skin. When you dry out oily skin too much, your skin responds by producing more sebum, which in turn leads to pimples. Just don't forget to moisturize.L’Oreal Mineral Makeup

When trying to cover up oily skin with makeup, it's a good idea to use mineral makeup since again, it's non-comedogemic. You can also find concealers with salicylic acid that cover and treat belmishes. Another thing is if you find that you break out from using a moisturizer with SPF, switch to one that has at least an SPF 30. Then, apply it on a small spot on your face before going to bed and do that for 3 days. If you see any reaction, stop using it and try a different one.
