Coffee isn’t just that hot drink you need to get through the day, it’s also an ingredient you can use in face masks! These 3 DIY coffee face masks are easy to make and oh-so effective for clearing up skin, reversing the signs of aging, and fixing imperfections. Coffee is often used in anti-cellulite body scrubs, but it also makes for a great face mask ingredient because of its anti-aging and exfoliating properties.

Why Coffee Is So Great For the Skin…

Coffee is packed full of antioxidants and, naturally, caffeine. Antioxidants detoxify the skin, helping it get rid of toxins, dirt, and impurities, while caffeine energizes the skin and helps reverse the signs of aging.

Caffeine also improves skin’s elasticity, and also has anti-inflammatory properties. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, coffee is great for dark under eye circles, puffy eyes, and so much more! It can also help repair damage done by UV rays, and regenerates new cells.

3 DIY Coffee Face Masks

#1. Coffee & Milk

This coffee and milk face mask is easy and fast to whip up – all you need are coffee grounds and milk! The milk in this recipe helps to remove dead skin cells and clears up acne, leaving your skin super soft and glowing!

  • 1 tbsp instant coffee or used coffee grounds
  • 1 – 1/2 tbsp milk

Mix the two ingredients together until well combined. Apply all over face and leave on for 10-15 minutes. When it’s time to remove the mask, gently scrub into skin to exfoliate, and rinse off. Pat dry and follow up with your favorite moisturizer. Repeat 2-3 times a week.

#2. Coffee, Turmeric, and Yogurt

Turmeric is a skin brightening ingredient, while yogurt exfoliates and hydrates dry skin. The combination of coffee, turmeric, and yogurt make for the perfect skin clearing and brightening face mask.

  • 1 tbsp instant coffee or used coffee grounds
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp yogurt

Mix all of the ingredients together and apply to clean skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off and pat dry. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer. Repeat twice a week.

#3. Coffee, Honey, and Yogurt

Honey is packed full of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which help to heal the skin and gives it a youthful glow.

  • 1 tbsp instant coffee or used coffee grounds
  • 1 tbsp organic, raw honey
  • 1 tbsp yogurt

Mix all of the ingredients together and apply to clear skin. Leave on for 20-25 minutes and rinse off. Pat dry and follow up with your favorite moisturizer. Repeat 2-3 times a week.
