Teens have at the worst when it comes to acne, and we know because most of us have been through it! If you’re a teen or know someone who suffers from mild to sever acne, this post is for you! Hormonal imbalances coupled with a bad diet can make the perfect recipe for acne, but these 3 DIY face masks for teens will eliminate acne like nothing else! Of course, as is with everything, these masks NEED to be used on a regular basis for at least a month, so consistency is key here!

Let’s check out these 3 DIY face masks for teens and reach for clearer, brighter skin!

3 DIY Face Masks for Teens

#1. Homemade Bubbly Clay Mask for Oily & Acne Prone Skin

clay mask diy

This bubbly face mask is as fun to make as it is to put on! Made with clay and apple cider vinegar, the combination of the two makes the mask “bubble up” and it truly works wonders to bring out all the dirt, impurities, and bacteria to the surface, eliminating acne at its core!

  • 1 tbsp bentonite clay
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Combined the two ingredients in a plastic or wooden bowl and mix with a plastic or wooden spoon. Make sure the ingredients do not come in contact with metal as this will throw off the clay’s balance. Leave on for 10-15 minutes or until the mask just starts to harden.

Remove with a soft, wet cloth in gentle swipes. Skin may be red for a few minutes afterwards, but that’s completely normal. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer.

Use 2-3 times a week to purge skin of bacteria and impurities.

#2. DIY Strawberry Honey Face Mask

This gentle, yet super powerful strawberry and honey face mask is perfect for those with sensitive skin as honey is very soothing and hydrating. Strawberries are natural exfoliants and will therefore cleanse the skin and prevent impurities and bacteria from entering. Honey is also a natural anti-bacterial agent which makes it the perfect acne fighter!

  • 3-4 strawberries
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Use a fork to mash the strawberries (either fresh or frozen will do!), and mix in the rest of the ingredients. Apply to clean skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off by massaging the mask into skin in slow, circular motions. Rinse and follow up with your favorite moisturizer.

Repeat 2-3 times a week for clear, bright skin, and to prevent anymore breakouts.

#3. Turmeric & Aloe Vera Face Mask

Turmeric is one of the best acne-fighting ingredients you can use, and, when coupled with aloe vera, can be a real powerhouse! It contains anti-bacterial agents which purge the skin and also prevents further breakouts, while aloe vera soothes and repairs damaged, scarred skin.

  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp aloe vera gel (pure)
  • Water

Mix all ingredients together and apply to a clean face. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse off. Your skin should feel super smooth and glowing after just the first use.

Use 2-3 times a week for best results.
