How to Get Beach Waves Tutorial

Now before we begin, I'd like to tell you that there are many different ways of getting beach waves, but when it comes to girls with thin hair (like ME!), it can be a little more challenging. I've tried countless different beach wave techniques, and although a few did work well for me, there was only one way that I really LOVED. It came out looking like actual beach waves, stayed put all day, and it only took me 5 minutes to do. This is the one I will share with you today! Now remember, this technique works best on thin hair! If you have thicker hair, check out this beach wave tutorial instead.

Step 1: Wash Hair

Wash your hair as you normally. Towel dry and brush it out. Let it air dry about 60% of the way. You want to be left with just some damp spots here and there.

Step 2: Apply a texturizing spray

Grab whatever you have in your bathroom as a texturizing spray/cream, or even a sea salt spray. This is just to give your hair a little bit of texture without weighing it down to much. Apply the spray/cream from the middle of your hair to the ends and scrunch. You can also check out the best beach wave sprays here!

Step 3: Twist

Divide your hair into two equal parts as if you were giving yourself pigtails. Grab one section and start twisting it outwards nice and tight. Once you've twisted it all the way to the top, grab your blowdryer and start blowdrying the twisted part making sure to hold the twist as tight as you can. Blowdry for 2 minutes. Release the twist and repeat this step with the other section of hair.

Step 4: Tousle

Tousle your hair gently using your fingertips to release the twist. Finish off with a sprtiz of light hairspray and you're good to go! These will stay put all day and work amazing on thin hair! Try it today and you'll see what I'm talking about!
