We often hear the question, “what does it take to get beautiful skin?”, and the answer is simple! Routine, routine, routine! These 10 tips for beautiful skin will show you how to completely change the way your skin behaves by introducing it to a strict routine! If you don’t follow all of these 10 steps routinely, your skin will never look the way it should! This is because your skin needs TLC, just like your hair, nails, or body! If you don’t “feed” it properly, it won’t grow to be healthy, but rather sickly.
So when you look at your skin in the mirror and think “why isn’t it perfect?”, take a look at these 10 tips below and see what you may be missing! In any case, you should ALWAYS try to follow the tips below, and not just for your skin! All of these tips help to keep your body healthy, your hair shiny, and your mood improved!
#1. Drink Water
This one’s a no-brainer but SO easy to overlook! Make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water each day, no matter what. Water keeps the skin hydrated which in turn makes the aging process much slower!
#2. Cleanse Regularly
Wash your face twice a day: once in the morning and once before bed. Make sure to use a face wash that’s appropriate for your skin. So if you have acne-prone skin for example, use an anti-acne wash!
#3. Don’t Exfoliate too Often
People with problem skin often think the solution is to scrub, scrub, scrub and exfoliate as much as possible. This is not the case as over exfoliating and scrubbing can remove healthy skin and cause damage. Limit exfoliating to once or twice a week max!
#4. Don’t Use Soap
You can’t just wash your face with soap! Regular hand-washing soaps can be harsh and drying. Instead, pick up a face wash!
#5. Use Sunscreen
Another no-brainer, but using sunscreen every day before you leave the house (even in the winter!) can make a world of difference down the road!
This may seem a little hard to do, but once you start exercising, something wonderful will happen! Your skin will actually start to glow, you’ll feel better, look better, and your overall health will improve ten fold!
#7. Get Enough Sleep
For radiant, perfect skin, getting enough sleep is a MUST! So however you do it, make sure to get 7-8 hours of good, uninterrupted sleep!
#8. Don’t Stress
Easier said than done, but stress can wreak MAJOR havoc on skin such as premature wrinkles and acne. Try meditation or a yoga class to destress!
#9. Don’t Smoke
A very obvious one, but smoking can do a lot of damage to skin, such as premature wrinkles and acne. Stay away from smoking as well as smoky areas.
#10. Eat Healthy
Want perfect skin? Eat healthy! They say that you are what you eat, so try incorporating healthy omega-3 fatty acids into your diet as well as plenty of fruits and vegetables.
