#1. DIY Chai Spice Sugar Scrub
Spice up your life with this DIY chair spice sugar scrub that will leave your skin feeling and looking silky smooth! Gather up the following ingredients:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 10-20 drops cinnamon bark oil (optional)
Mix them all up and use in the shower on wet skin. Scrub in slow, circular motions and rinse off. Pat dry repeat 2-3 times a week for flawless skin!
#2. Homemade Orange Scrub
The citrusy scent of oranges in this recipe will wake up all of your senses and leave your skin baby smooth after just one scrub! You'll need the following ingredients:
- 1 orange
- 1 cup sugar
- 1-3 tbsp apricot oil, coconut oil, or almond oil
Scoop out the pulp from an orange and toss into a blender or food processor. To that, add 1 cup of sugar and about 1-3 tbsp oil of your choice. Start off with 1 tbsp and add more as you see fit – the consistency should be one of a scrub! Use in the shower on wet skin and rub in slow, circular motions focusing on rougher areas such as elbows, knees, feet, and shoulders.
#3. DIY Cranberry Lip Scrub
This last fall recipe is a lip scrub, but it can also be used on the body! Made with natural ingredients, it will leave your skin super soft and smelling of delicious cranberries! You'll need the following ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen cranberries, thawed
- 1/8 cup melted coconut oil
- 1 cup brown sugar
Add the thawed cranberries to a blender or food processor. Puree for a few seconds. Take the pureed cranberries out and scoop into a bowl. To that bowl, add the melted coconut oil and sugar. Stir until well combined and store in a clean, airtight jar or container.
