Wanna know how to get the ultimate foot spa? We'll show you exactly how! There is nothing I love more than my spa days! I like to get super relaxed by soaking in a long bath and doing all the things I love (face mask, body scrubbing, etc). Unfortunately, I don't do that in the summer and my skin tends to get dry and flaky by the time the fall hits. So here are some sexy body strategies that you need to adopt this winter to smooth your skin and get it looking just as sexy as it was in the summer!
The Ultimate Foot Spa
THE ULTIMATE FOOT REVIVER
If you've been walking around in heels all summer, your feet are probably aching and longing for some TLC. This foot soak will be sure to revive them. Submerge them in a large bowl of warm water with lemon and orange slices and a cup of Epsom salts for 10 minutes. This soak is absolutely fantastic since the salt and citric acids dissolve rough spots and clarify the skin. After you've finished, use a pumice stone on calluses and finish off by slathering on a rich moisturizing foot lotion.
POLISH YOUR BODY
1. Prepare your skin.
To get rid of dead skin cells that have accumulated on your body, slip on a pair of dry, exfoliating gloves and use long, quick-strokes all over your body, while you're in the shower. This will help you get rid of the top layer of the dead skin and will also make it much easier for ingredients, such as lotion, penetrate the skin.
2. Multitask your scrub.
Scrub down your body by using a multitasking scrub. Choose one that contains a light oil base such as almond or flaxseed oil. This will ensure that you will not only buff your body to a beautiful glow, but it will also moisturize your skin at the same time. So you get 2 for 1! Make sure to spend at least 5 minutes rubbing it all over your body.
3. Moisturize before drying.
The most important thing to remember is to apply moisturizer before drying off. So after you've rinsed, pick a moisturizer with a rich, thick, anti-oxidant agent that will penetrate your skin and leave your body feeling silky smooth for days to come. Since you've buffed your body, the thick lotion immediately submerges itself into your skin, so you won't be left feeling greasy!
BEAUTIFY YOUR HANDS
Do you use sunscreen like you should? Even in the winter, it is highly recommended that you slather on an SPF of at least 15 all over your body, including your hands. But most of us forget that our hands need to be protected from the sun as well, and we tend to rub off the sunscreen. Because of that, we tend to get sun spots on our hands. But not to worry, this can be fixed!
To fade those sun spots away, soak your hands in lemon juice for five minutes. The citric acid will exfoliate dry skin while lightening discoloration. Afterward, slather on a cream with an SPF of at least 15. Make sure to do this on a regular basis to get beautiful hands every time!
