#1. Honey & Milk Peel Off Face Mask

Honey is a naturally antiseptic and antibacterial ingredient which helps fight off bacteria and, in turn, prevents acne and blackheads. Milk contains lactic acid which aids in cleansing and exfoliating of the skin.

This honey & milk peel off face mask is great for those with dry and sensitive skin. Both the milk and honey help to replenish moisture.

Ingredients:

milk-and-honey-mask
  • 1 tbsp organic raw honey
  • 1 tsp warm milk
  • tissue paper or toilet paper

Directions:

  1. In a small microwavable bowl, warm up the milk. Alternatively, you can also warm the milk on a stove top.
  2. Mix in the warm milk with the raw, organic honey and stir well until a thick paste-like consistency has formed.
  3. Use your (clean) fingers or a silicone spatula to apply the milk and honey mask all over your face or only on areas where blackheads and acne are present such as the chin, nose, and forehead.
  4. Over that, place 1 ply toilet paper and press gently onto the skin.
  5. Allow to dry for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Gently remove the toilet paper from skin.
  7. Rinse off any leftover residue with warm water and pat skin dry.
  8. Follow up with your favorite toner and moisturizer.
  9. Can be used 2-3 times a week for best results.

#2. Egg White & Lemon Juice Peel Off Mask

Egg whites are packed full of protein and help to regenerate cells, which minimize the look of pores and also prevent premature wrinkles. Lemon juice helps to minimize the appearance of dark spots, acne scars, and age spots. Lemon juice also helps brighten otherwise dull skin and also gets rid of dead skin cells.

This egg white & lemon juice peel off mask is great for those with aging skin as well as acne prone skin.

Ingredients:

lemon juice and egg white peel off mask
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • tissue paper or toilet paper

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, beat the egg white until nice and frothy.
  2. To that, add a tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix the two ingredients well.
  3. Use your fingers or a face mask brush to apply the mixture all over your face or concentrate on acne prone areas such as chin, nose, and forehead.
  4. Press 1-ply tissue paper or toilet paper onto the areas and let dry for 10-20 minutes.
  5. Once time is up, gently peel the tissue away to reveal softer, smoother, and brighter skin!
  6. Rinse off any leftover residue with warm water and pat dry.
  7. Follow up with a homemade toner and moisturizer.
  8. Can be used 2-3 times a week to prevent wrinkles, reduce the appearance of fine lines and acne scars.

NOTES: Because this recipe contains lemon juice, do not use if you have any open sores or cuts.

#3. Coconut Oil Peel Off Face Mask

This highly nourishing and hydrating coconut oil peel off face mask works great for those with dry and/or sensitive skin. Coconut oil contains fatty acids which penetrate deep into the skin to hydrate dry skin and prevent flakiness. Egg whites contain protein which prevent premature aging, while lemon juice brightens and diminishes the look of scars and spots.

This coconut oil peel off face mask is great for all skin types, particularly those with dry and sensitive skin. Please note that coconut oil is comedogenic, which means it clogs pores. Do not use if you have oily skin. Learn more about the benefits of coconut oil!

Ingredients:

coconut oil and egg whites
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp cold pressed organic coconut oil
  • 1-ply tissue paper or toilet paper
  • essential oils – optional (just a drop or two for scent)

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, whip the egg white and add in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and coconut oil.
  2. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Apply directly onto skin using your fingers or a face mask silicone spatula.
  4. Use 1-ply tissue paper or toilet paper and press onto skin.
  5. Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes and gently peel off.
  6. Remove any excess using warm water and pat dry.
  7. Follow up with a homemade toner and moisturizer.
  8. Use 2-3 times a week for best results.

NOTES:

  • As with anything, please test a small patch of skin before using any of the above recipes to make sure you are not allergic.
  • Use only fresh, and if possible, organic ingredients. The higher the quality, the better the results.
  • Use the DIY peel off face masks 2-3 times a week for optimal results.
  • ALL masks can be used without the tissue paper. Simply apply directly to the skin, allow to dry, and then rinse off using a washcloth.
  • Don't have lemon juice? Easily swap it out for lime juice – they'll both work just as well!
  • Don't have coconut oil? You can also use extra virgin olive oil or any other carrier oil.
